Farm sebagai rute, bukan kebiasaanFarm as a route, not a habit
Stacks, jungle camps, and the difference between farming and standing still.
Dua carry farming sepuluh menit.
A route is a sentence with a subject
Farming well is not "being in the jungle". It is a route: this wave, that camp, this stack, back before the next wave. The route has a purpose, and the purpose is usually the next item.
A carry who farms without a route spends the same ten minutes and arrives 2,000 gold behind.
Two carries farm for ten minutes. One clears a stacked camp and two waves per minute, the other wanders. What separates them?
Answer: A route: known camps, known stacks, and a reason to be in each place — Same time, same map. The difference is that one has a plan for where the gold is and the other hopes to walk into it.
Stacks are free gold with a delay
A stacked camp is the same camp with extra creeps, so a support can turn one minute of walking into several hundred gold for a core. Stacking costs the support nothing but time, which is why it is the cheapest help in the game.
The catch: a stack nobody clears is just creeps standing around.
Why is stacking considered support income even though the support gains no gold?
Answer: It multiplies the camp for whoever clears it — The support converts their own time into someone else's gold, which is exactly the trade a support role is built on.
When farming is the wrong answer
Farming is correct while the map is quiet and your item is close. It is wrong when your team is fighting 4v5 for a tower, because the tower is worth more than one camp.
The judgement is never "farm or fight" in general: it is what this minute is buying.
Your team is defending a tier 2 tower 4v5 and you are 800 gold from a big item. What usually wins?
Answer: Join if the tower falls without you, because that loss is bigger than 800 gold — Compare what each choice buys. A tier 2 tower and the map behind it usually cost more than the last stretch of an item.
