Dua peran yang sering tertukar
Offlane dan pos 4 sama-sama tinggal di lane berat, tapi satu menyerap tekanan dan satu menciptakan tekanan. Pos 5 dan pos 4 sama-sama support, tapi satu menjaga lane dan satu meninggalkannya.
Kalau kamu tidak bisa menyebut yang mana sedang dilakukan sebuah hero di menit tertentu, draft itu punya lubang.
Pasangan mana yang pekerjaannya benar-benar berbeda?
Jawaban: Pos 4 dan pos 5 — Keduanya support, tapi pos 4 meninggalkan lane untuk membuat sesuatu terjadi sementara pos 5 tinggal menjaga farm carry. Pos 1 dan 2 beda prioritas, pos 3 dan 1 beda selera farm.
A role is a promise about later
The lane says where you start; the role says what you are for. A carry promises damage later in exchange for farm now. A support promises space now in exchange for items later.
When a game goes wrong, it is usually one of those promises broken rather than a fight lost.
A pos 5 takes a free creep wave from the carry at minute 8. What did that break?
Answer: The trade the team agreed to: the carry's farm is the thing being paid for — Every role is a trade of one resource for another. Taking the carry's resource without giving anything back is the opposite of the job.
The three clocks
Around minute 10 the priorities are lanes and towers. Around 25 they are vision and the first big objective. Around 40 they are buybacks, Roshan, and one decisive fight.
A hero who plays the minute-10 game at minute-25 is not behind, they are answering an old question.
At minute 30 your carry is still farming the safe lane alone while the team fights near Roshan. What is the actual mistake?
Answer: The clock moved: at 30 the farm has to serve a fight or an objective — Farming is only correct while it buys something the next clock needs. Past that point the same farming is a team playing 4v5.
Two roles that get confused
Offlane and pos 4 both live in the hard lane, but one absorbs pressure and one creates it. Pos 5 and pos 4 are both supports, but one protects a lane and one leaves it.
If you cannot say which of the two a hero is doing in a given minute, the draft has a hole in it.
Which pair has genuinely different jobs?
Answer: Pos 4 and pos 5 — Both are supports, but the pos 4 leaves the lane to make things happen while the pos 5 stays to protect the carry's farm. Pos 1 and 2 differ in priority, pos 3 and 1 in farm appetite.
